Sarah Valdez

Sarah Valdez serves as the Senior STEAM/School Educator responsible for the content programming and scheduling at the Education Outreach Center. With over 20 years of experience in classrooms, nature centers and museums, Sarah is happy to help identify an EAA speaker targeted to your specific classroom’s needs. Sarah is bilingual and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from Southwest Texas State University and a Master of Education from Texas State University.

Elizabeth Gutierrez

Elizabeth Gutierrez

Elizabeth Gutierrez is an award-winning Environmental Educator with over 13 years of experience specializing in environmental education. She holds a B.S. in Geography – Resource and Environmental Studies from Texas State University and is a certified Texas Master Naturalist. Elizabeth is also a certified facilitator for Project WET, Project WILD, and Project Learning Tree, offering professional development for educators in natural resource education. In 2023, she was named Texas Project WILD State Facilitator of the Year. A frequent presenter at state and national science education conferences, Elizabeth is passionate about inspiring youth to connect with the natural world.
