Compliance & Enforcement
The EAA’s compliance and enforcement activities involve working with Edwards Aquifer well owners, permit holders and other aquifer stakeholders to achieve and ensure compliance with the EAA Act (PDF) and the EAA Rules (PDF). This includes assisting entities and individuals who wish to personally address the Permits/Enforcement Committee or the EAA Board.
The Compliance Team is dedicated to ensuring a fair and consistent compliance and enforcement process for all Edwards Aquifer stakeholders and to bringing those with violations into compliance. In this effort, the Compliance Program supports the EAA’s mission to effectively manage, enhance and protect the Edwards Aquifer system.
The “Edwards Aquifer Well Owner’s Workshop” is hosted by the Compliance Team. This free, three-hour informational workshop covers topics of interest to well owners and permit holders including an overview of the aquifer, the EAA and groundwater withdrawal permit ownership. Workshops are scheduled annually.
