Ron Ellis

Ron Ellis, a resident of Universal City, represents Edwards Aquifer Authority District 5, which covers the southeastern and northeastern portions of Bexar County.  He was appointed to the Authority’s board of directors in October 2007 to fill an unexpired term, which runs through December 1, 2008.  Currently, Mr. Ellis serves on the Aquifer Management Planning and the Finance/Administrative committees of the board.

Mr. Ellis served 29 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired with the rank of colonel.  He also previously served as a district director for the Northrop Grumman Corporation, a global defense and technology company.  He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree from George Washington University.

Mr. Ellis is the past recipient of numerous commendations, including the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, and the Distinguished Flying Cross, to name a few.  He also is a member of the Universal City Planning and Zoning Commission, the Air Force Association, Ducks Unlimited, and the Coastal Conservation Association.
