Toothless blindcat

Listed by the Texas Parks and Wildlife as a threatened species, the toothless blindcat is one of only two troglobitic (cave-adapted) catfish known in North America. It has very weak jaws and a suckerfish-type mouth. The toothless blindcat occurs in the artesian zone of the Edwards Aquifer near (and underneath) San Antonio.
