A spring of the San Marcos Springs ecosystem, located on the bottom of Spring Lake. Spring Lake is on the property of Aquarena Center, operated by Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. In this photograph, water issuing forth from the springs causes the sand grains to appear to boil in the lake bottom.
