Precipitation data are used to calculate recharge to the Edwards Aquifer, to monitor any precipitation trends that may affect recharge to the aquifer, to evaluate the effectiveness of the Authority’s Precipitation Enhancement Program, and to investigate groundwater flowpaths by correlating rainfall and water-level responses in wells.
