Uranine Trace From Ezells Cave Uranine dye was injected into Ezells Cave in San Marcos, Texas and was detected in artesian wells located at Texas State University, the City of San Marcos Spring Lake pumping station, and in the springs located on the southwest side of Spring Lake. Groundwater velocities were estimated to be 1,000 feet per day.
