Rattlesnake Cave Tracer Test Phloxine B dye was injected into Rattlesnake Cave northeast of San Marcos Springs. The dye was injected into the cave and approximately 1,000 gallons of water was used to flush the dye into the aquifer. The dye appeared 48 hours later in the northeastern portion of Spring Lake.
