Cagle’s map turtle

Cagle’s map turtle is considered a candidate for listing by the USFWS. They have black and yellow, to cream colored markings on their shell, legs and face. The turtle was once found throughout the Guadalupe River and many of its tributaries. Today, the turtle’s range is fragmented, with larger populations of the turtle being located in the downstream segments of the Guadalupe River system.
