San Marcos Springs

The San Marcos Springs ecosystem is the second largest in Texas.  Spring Lake constitutes the headwaters of the San Marcos river. The historical average (1956-2002) flow at San Marcos Springs is approximately 172 cubic feet per second, which is over 77,000 gallons of water every minute.
